Still waiting for budget - Anna Carrera, WCIA

University leaders are among those anxiously waiting for more news about the state budget. They got some money for this fiscal year, but it wasn't as much as they hoped for. They're working with money they got through the "stop gap" plan. The University of Illinois has received about $180 million through that. That's less than 30 percent of how much they got the year before. The university's Board of Trustees is now trying to work through a budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Members are mostly working with numbers from two years ago, which was the last time the university got full funding, but they're not sure they'll even get that much again. https://thejournal.com/articles/2016/06/01/report-virtual-reality-shipments-to-rocket-up-2400-percent-this-year.aspx
