SUNY Adirondack trustees approve lean budget - MICHAEL GOOT, Post Star

SUNY Adirondack’s Board of Trustees has signed off on a more than $29.28 million operating budget that keeps spending almost flat and staffing lean. The budget raises spending by just $9,341 over this year’s $29,273,715 plan. College officials sought to keep the budget tight, as enrollment numbers for the fall were below projections. The college had a gap of close to $1 million in its 2015-16 budget because enrollment numbers did not meet projections. “This budget has been carefully constructed in cooperation with the faculty and staff and once again demonstrates a thoughtful approach towards controlling costs while maintaining the high-quality teaching and learning environment that our students and our communities deserve,” said President Kristine Duffy in a letter to the Board of Trustees during the budget presentation. The college projects tuition revenues will decrease by $941,000 because of the decline in enrollment. http://poststar.com/news/local/suny-adirondack-trustees-approve-lean-budget/article_4c483d28-4e3c-5152-aebc-73f5ea437331.html
