JWCC budget is lower than last year; state funding still lacking - Steve Eighinger, Herald-Whig

The John Wood Community College Board of Trustees has approved a balanced $14.23 million budget for the 2016-17 school year. "This budget is $85,000 less than the current year and the lowest since 2009," said Josh Welker, dean of business services and institutional effectiveness at JWCC. The approval came Wednesday night at the monthly board meeting, despite ongoing problems with the state budget. JWCC President Mike Elbe said there is still no concrete information concerning how much or when any state funding will be dispersed for fiscal 2017 -- the 2016-17 academic year. http://www.whig.com/20160721/jwcc-budget-is-lower-than-last-year-state-funding-still-lacking
