Minot State University Faces Budget Challenge - KXNews

State budget shortfalls created a requirement for many state agencies to operate with 90 percent of current budgets. Minot State University was one of those agencies where a ten percent cut translates to $4.6 million. MSU president Dr. Steve Shirley says the Budget Recommendations Committee, made up of faculty, staff and students finalized their recommendations. Many of those adjustments were made in the first allotment for a four percent reduction during the current biennium. However, as budget cut decision are finalized before August, Dr. Shirley says layoffs and program cuts are still a possibility. http://www.kxnet.com/story/32397602/minot-state-university-faces-budget-challenge
