With cuts behind him and cuts ahead, Bresciani talks about NDSU's budget - Mike McFeely, Inforum

President Dean Bresciani, president of North Dakota State University, gives his State of the University address Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, in Fargo.Michael Vosburg / Forum Photo Editor FARGO—Dean Bresciani became North Dakota State University's president in 2010, when the campus was reeling from the controversial tenure of his predecessor Joseph Chapman. While Chapman was credited with moving NDSU into its NCAA Division I era, he left behind a financial and public-relations mess. With North Dakota's state budget in a difficult situation because of low oil and agriculture commodity prices, Bresciani might face even more challenging days ahead. It's expected state agencies will be asked to make 10 percent permanent budget reductions. In NDSU's case, that would be $15.7 million over the next biennium. http://www.inforum.com/news/4062230-cuts-behind-him-and-cuts-ahead-bresciani-talks-about-ndsus-budget
