LSSU launches 'transformation' - Brian Kelly, Sault Star

A nimbler Lake Superior State University starts the new school year with revamped approaches to student aid, student service and tracking the dollars it spends. The post-secondary institution in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., now has a two-college model – a college of arts and sciences and college of professional studies. Natural and social sciences, fine arts, performing arts and humanities are grouped in the first college. The second college houses engineering, nursing, health sciences and criminal justice. “I think what students will see is an opportunity of how does their discipline intersect with other disciplines,” said president Tom Pleger. “How can they connect, or focus, on a particular project or career direction and see how these things overlap which should make them a better graduate.” http://www.saultstar.com/2016/08/27/lssu-launches-transformation
