MSU will 'modify' Glass Hall renovation after budget withholding - Gene Hartley, KSPR

Missouri State University said Friday that it will look for ways to cut expenses on its renovation of Glass Hall, the home of the College of Business. Gov. Jay Nixon on Thursday withheld $1.875 million of a $5 million appropriation that the Legislature approved last spring. The withholding is part of $57.2 million worth of planned state spending that Nixon cut on Thursday after the Legislature on Wednesday overrode Nixon's veto of two tax cuts. The governor says the spending cuts equal what his staff thinks the tax cuts will cost the state. Republican leaders of the Legislature says the tax cuts will cost the state far less than that, and say Nixon's budget cuts are unnecessary. http://www.kspr.com/content/news/msu-glass-hall-modification-budget-cut-393710991.html
