Richman explains how NDSCS will respond to budget shortfall - Frank Stanko, Daily News

North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, wasn’t given the choice of denying Gov. Jack Dalrymple’s order to reduce its budget for the 2017-19 biennium by 10 percent (approximately $5.7 million) due to expected limitations in state funding. It was, however, given the challenging choice of how to act on that order. Two weeks after talking with campus faculty and staff about staff reductions which began in February, NDSCS president Dr. John Richman addressed them again. “Five full time employees have been notified that their contracts will be ending on June 30, 2017,” he said. “One of the five had been offered full-time employment yet on campus. One part-time employee will be terminated come June 30. Three full-time positions have been reduced in the length of their contracts.” http://www.wahpetondailynews.com/news/richman-explains-how-ndscs-will-respond-to-budget-shortfall/article_3c432288-7055-11e6-91de-bbae359b2e31.html
