UM President outlines plan to improve enrollment in 2016 budget - Don Fisher, KPAX

University of Montana President Royce Engstrom says this will be a year full of challenges and opportunity for the University of Montana. The last academic year was a challenging one for the University of Montana. A fact Engstrom didn't shy away from during his annual address Friday. He says the largest remaining issue is enrollment. "Put simply, we need more students. Resident, non-resident, international, undergraduate, graduate, traditional, and non-traditional. All to benefit from a UM education," Engstrom said. Engstrom outlined a four-step plan to improve enrollment, including an effort to broaden their recruiting scope, adding more flexible class schedules for non-traditional students and including more available online classes. After budget cuts to numerous departments last school year, Engstrom says he's confident that no further cuts will be needed in the near future. http://www.kpax.com/story/32850927/um-president-outlines-plan-to-improve-enrollment-in-2016-budget
