Budget deficit leads to hiring freeze at Buffalo State College - Evan Anstey, WIVB

Buffalo State College announced that they will not be hiring anyone new during the next fiscal year. The reason for the hiring freeze was detailed to school staff members in a note from the school’s President, Katherine Conway-Turner. The school currently faces a structural deficit of $3.3 million, but that, along with $1.4 million in previously unfunded salary payments, brings their all-funds budget deficit to a projected $4.7 million for the fiscal year. The root of the deficit is lower enrollment numbers. http://wivb.com/2016/09/30/budget-deficit-leads-to-hiring-freeze-at-buffalo-state-college/
