EDITORIAL: Cutting college costs all about the money - New Jersey Daily Journal

The key to curbing the high costs of college in New Jersey is to get students successfully through school more quickly. That was the overarching emphasis of a series of recommendations from a special commission on college affordability unveiled last week by New Jersey lawmakers, who pledged to follow up the panel’s work by soon introducing nearly a dozen related bills. The cause is an important one, and the recommendations as a whole are notable for their creativity and breadth. The panel envisions several means of shortening the path to a degree, while also addressing the need for greater financial literacy among families planning for college. http://www.dailyrecord.com/story/opinion/editorials/2016/10/01/cutting-college-costs-money/91391314/
