MSU may modify Glass Hall project if full state funding isn't restored - Claudette Riley, News-Leader

Missouri State may have to scale back its Glass Hall project after Gov. Jay Nixon announced plans to withhold part of the state funding earmarked for the project. The university was awarded $5 million in matching state funds — after raising that amount through private donations — but was recently notified that $1.875 million, or 37 percent, will not be released. It is not yet clear if the restriction is temporary or permanent. MSU President Clif Smart said if the university is unable to raise enough additional funds to offset the restricted amount, the scope of the project will have to be modified. http://www.news-leader.com/story/news/education/2016/09/23/msu-may-modify-glass-hall-project-if-full-state-funding-isnt-restored/90788912/
