UW System fall enrollment down 5,000 students - Karen Herzog, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Preliminary fall enrollments are in for University of Wisconsin campuses and while many held steady or saw slight gains, the two-year colleges collectively took a 22.3% hit, UW-Stevens Point fell 6.8% and UW-Milwaukee lost 4.7%, compared with final enrollment numbers from last fall. Overall, the early numbers suggest the UW System could lose about 5,000 students and tens of millions of dollars in revenue this academic year. They show how far each campus must go as student enrollments solidify to avoid big losses. http://www.jsonline.com/story/news/education/2016/09/23/uw-system-fall-enrollment-down-5000-students/90800218/
