The hope, promise, reality and bills of college - Liz Welter, USA Today

Four colleges. Nineteen panelists. Dozens of questions. One is a private liberal arts college, three are public universities. Yet as the USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin held events on the campuses this fall as part of the Degrees of Debt series, several themes were repeated as students, recent graduates and college leaders discussed the struggles many have with debt. “At UW-Oshkosh, I’m concerned. I’m worried because I do think our students are graduating with too much debt,” Chancellor Andrew Leavitt said during an Oct. 18 rally in Oshkosh. “We’re working very hard in terms of trying to make college more affordable.” http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/story/news/2016/11/04/hope-promise-reality-and-bills-college/88993470/
