Green: UNL preparing for budget cuts - CHRIS DUNKER, Lincoln Journal Star

The University of Nebraska system could cut as much as $13 million from its budget in a mid-year course correction. University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Ronnie Green told the Faculty Senate on Tuesday the state’s projected revenue shortfall could require the UNL campus to slash its budget by about $6 million next spring, even before the university contemplates potentially larger cutbacks in its next biennial budget. Last week, Gov. Pete Ricketts said he would propose a “flat” two-year budget to state lawmakers in January, acknowledging that in keeping the budget flat, NU will need to make cuts as priorities have shifted for state government. http://journalstar.com/news/local/education/green-unl-preparing-for-budget-cuts/article_49363acf-b6bd-5cfe-b285-ae14acac09ca.html
