Illinois Budget fight leaves colleges in lurch again - Associated Press

Illinois' public universities are being forced once again to plan to operate without state funding after going nearly the entire 2015-16 school year without receiving any support amid the budget standoff between Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner and Democratic leaders in the Legislature. A six-month spending plan that has kept schools afloat runs out Dec. 31, the Herald & Review reported. There's no indication Rauner and top Democrats are close to reaching a deal on a budget for the rest of the school year. http://www.daily-journal.com/news/illinois/budget-fight-leaves-colleges-in-lurch-again/article_f6fa2b0f-efaa-5aab-9aae-7e365a4dacc7.html
