Wright State enacts hiring freeze, plans 'streamlining' for 2018 budget - Dayton Business Journal

Wright State University is enacting a hiring freeze amid continued cost-cutting efforts, as it looks to further streamline its business next year. In an email to students, staff and faculty sent out Monday, President David Hopkins said the school is undertaking a number of measures to keep its budget afloat amid what looks like a need to cut $25 million for the 2018 fiscal year, versus the $8 million it expected in its current budget-cutting plan. This comes on top of the $19.7 million in savings the school has been working through in the 2017 fiscal year. http://www.bizjournals.com/dayton/news/2017/02/21/wright-state-enacts-hiring-freeze-plans.html
