SCSU faces another budget shortfall - David Unze, St. Cloud Times

St. Cloud State University is facing an estimated budget shortfall of nearly $7 million for next fiscal year, as enrollment continues to decline. The university is working on a budget plan that identifies $11.8 million that will cover that shortfall and set aside $5 million for the future. The university reported deficits of up to $10 million in FY 2015, $13 million in FY 2012 and had to cut staff, faculty and programs to close previous deficits. Interim university President Ashish Vaidya has notified the university community that reductions in faculty and staff are possible. And he said more program cuts are coming. http://www.sctimes.com/story/news/local/2017/03/23/scsu-faces-another-budget-shortfall/99508804/
