University of Montana budgets by programs trend with enrollment, officials say - KEILA SZPALLER, Missoulian
The University of Montana has had winners – and bigger winners – in spending on schools and colleges over roughly the last decade. That's leaving aside for a moment the current and tightly budgeted fiscal year, when the university is in the midst of evaluating programs and personnel after a historical drop in enrollment and subsequent loss of funds. Still, at the College of Education and Human Sciences, for instance, spending nearly doubled from the 2008 to 2016 fiscal years, from $4.94 million to $9.66 million, according to data from the finance office. That growth in the college includes the addition of the Digital Academy, an estimated $2 million, according to UM.
