Students, Administration React to Northland College Budget Cuts - Baihly Warfield, Eyewitness News

Northland College is expecting to welcome its largest freshman class ever this fall. Still, administration announced major budget cuts Tuesday that will affect students, staff and faculty. All college officers, staff and faculty will take a pay cut, according to President Michael Miller. Six positions have been eliminated entirely, and nine others are being reduced from full-time to part-time. Those were the primary reasons students camped out at the Ponzio Campus Center Tuesday night through Wednesday. "The people that support us and are educating us and are changing our lives, ultimately, are losing pay, are being cut completely and are just being treated with disrespect," sophomore Jeni Swartley said. http://www.wdio.com/news/northland-college-budget-cuts/4494750/
