Gulf Coast State College faces budget cut - WJHG

Gulf Coast State College will lose $1 million in its operating budget after new legislation. The college's President said Gulf Coast has already had to cut important "behind-the-scenes" jobs. One of those positions is the operator. Instead of speaking with a person over the phone, students will be referred to an automated menu first. Dr. John Holdnak, Gulf Coast's President, said callers will always have an option to check out of the automated options to speak to a real person. Although the budget cut could potentially hurt efficiency, Dr. Holdnak said the cut should not harm students. http://www.wjhg.com/content/news/Gulf-Coast-State-College-faces-budget-cut-429767903.html
