Given budget cuts, MSU President Clif Smart requests no pay raise - Claudette Riley, News-Leader

Unable to give Missouri State employees a pay increase, President Clif Smart asked that he not be offered one, either. He notified the university's Board of Governors of that request prior to his annual job evaluation, which was completed late Thursday. "I've told them I will not accept a pay raise of any kind, given our inability to give pay raises across the board," he said. Virginia Fry, chair of the board, said the governors agreed Smart's "performance was extraordinary" this year. http://www.news-leader.com/story/news/education/2017/08/05/given-budget-cuts-msu-president-clif-smart-requests-no-pay-raise/506579001/
