Metropolitan Community College proposes tax increase - Katie Rohman, Pilot-Tribune

Washington County residents may see a 1.24 percent property tax increase from Metropolitan Community College (MCC) in 2017-18. If the final budget is approved, Washington County taxpayers will contribute $3.04 million next fiscal year. Total valuations rose 4.81 percent in 2017-18. The MCC Board of Governors approved its proposed budget July 25. A public hearing on the proposed budget is scheduled for Tuesday. Amendments will be approved as necessary.
