State budget cuts result in ECU pulling programs out of Ardmore - Crystal Martinez, KXII

An East Central University spokesman says the state budget crunch gave them little choice but to pull out of Ardmore. "Because of the decrease in state appropriations east central university has been evaluating all of our programs and services … unfortunately our programs at the university center of southern Oklahoma are no longer economically feasible," said Provost Adrianna Lancaster. The University spokesperson says the programs in Ardmore have lost about two hundred thousand dollars.
