With NU facing budget hole, President Hank Bounds says no to raise - Rick Ruggles, World-Herald
University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds wouldn’t consider accepting a raise during this period of financial challenges, the chairman of the NU regents said Monday. “He wouldn’t even begin to listen to any kind of raise for himself,” said Regents Chairman Bob Whitehouse of Papillion. “It was his decision not to even go there or discuss anything at this point.” Bounds is paid $530,400, including $20,000 in private money. The regents are expected to extend Bounds’ contract Thursday by a year, from June 30, 2020, to June 30, 2021.
