Clemson University spent $14.8 million in travel-related expenses during last budget year - Kirk Brown, Anderson Independent Mail

Clemson University spent $14.8 million on travel-related expenses during the budget year that ended June 30, which is more than any other state agency, according to a recent report. Clemson's expenses included $9 million for out-state travel and $2.63 million for in-state travel. The university also spent almost $1.9 million for in-state and out-of-state registration fees, as well as nearly $1.5 million for non-state employee travel expenses. The figures were included in annual travel report compiled by state Comptroller Richard Eckstrom.
