MSU expects budget cuts, but no furloughs - Gail Schontzler, Bozeman Chronicle

The Montana University System faces $4.5 million in budget cuts after the Legislature’s special session, but no furloughs are expected on the Bozeman campus. Montana State University President Waded Cruzado said Thursday that while she still needs more specifics on how the University System will carry out its share of state budget cuts, she plans to protect MSU’s academic core, its faculty and staff. “Furloughs are not on the horizon at Montana State University,” Cruzado stated. “People are our most important assets. Protecting our people who do such a good job is very important.” https://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/news/montana_state_university/msu-expects-budget-cuts-but-no-furloughs/article_c0bab239-af30-5afd-a687-acaac104a236.html
