Budget will bring challenges for university says Chico State president - Dani Anguiano, Chico Enterprise-Record
The future of Chico State University is bright, but budget constraints will pose challenges in the coming years, President Gayle Hutchinson said Monday during her annual State of the University address. In her address, Hutchinson praised the university, staff and students and highlighted recent achievements, including appearances on national rankings, its greatest fundraising year on record and involvement in the Butte County Promise. “We are one university bound together by our common purpose to guide student success,” Hutchinson said. “Our work transforms lives, families and communities.” Hutchinson also provided an overview of the budget issues facing the university and the CSU system in her address to faculty and staff.
