Missouri State proposes cuts in response to governor's budget - KY3

As budget cuts totaling $8.6 million loom for Missouri State, campus leaders are looking for ways to make up for the loss, and their plan starts next week with the elimination of 32 positions, including seven that are filled, the rest vacant. A spokesperson for Missouri State University said Friday, the university has identified $1.5 million in cost reductions, including the layoffs. "We've worked really hard to eliminate the amount of employees that will actually lose their jobs," said MSU President Clif Smart. http://www.ky3.com/content/news/Missouri-State-proposes-cuts-in-response-to-governors-proposed-budget-474964873.html
