ATC is planning to cut jobs in March - Terry Lewis, Albany Herald

Albany Technical College is planning a reduction in force this month due to several factors that officials say are pointing to shortfalls with the college’s Fiscal Year 2018 budget. The RIF is planned for this month purposely, to allow faculty and staff affected to possibly obtain positions in other school systems that would be completing for their services during this time period. Factors contributing to the RIF include two years of declining enrollment with minimal change in the college’s day-to-day staffing and operations. Most of the college’s announced enrollment growth is attributed to dual enrollment, where students average just three credit-hours per term versus typically enrolled students, who averages 12 to 15 credit-hours. http://www.albanyherald.com/atc-is-planning-to-cut-jobs-in-march/article_fff8b706-5f30-5a23-b883-6eb55d993bde.html
