University of Northern Colorado officials are looking to breathe new life into cost-savings efforts at the university after a $10 million cash deficit for the 2018 fiscal year. Despite months of work to cut costs, the 2018 cash deficit grew about $3 million from an earlier projection of a $6.9 million loss this past November. Michelle Quinn, the university's chief financial officer, emailed faculty and staff this week to update them on the budget projections.
