WKU athletics forges ahead despite major budget concerns - Chad Bishop, WBKO13

Amidst all the hoopla of WKU’s run to the final four of the National Invitational Tournament last week, and in the shadow’s of the NCAA Tournament, Western Kentucky athletics was dealt a major, major blow. Michelle Clark-Heard and her 154 wins and her four NCAA Tournament appearances left town for a new job in Cincinnati. Money was not the ultimate deciding factor in that change – but make no mistake, it was a factor.
