Terra State makes cuts to reduce budget deficit - Daniel Carson, Freemont Messenger
Terra State Community College has eliminated staff positions and cut some employees' hours to shrink its swollen fiscal year 2018 budget deficit. Amanda Pochatko, Terra State's marketing manager, said the recent cuts made in administrative/professional and staff positions and hour reductions have resulted in about $73,500 in savings. "In addition, some individuals on the executive team voluntary contributed by taking unpaid leaves of absence and expensing earned vacation time to achieve this total savings," Pochatko said in email to The News-Messenger.
