Mizzou Facing More Budget Cuts - Andy Humphrey, My MO Info

For the third year in a row, the University of Missouri is proposing to slash its budget and jobs. Chancellor Alex Cartwright says the university wants to eliminate 155 unfilled positions and 30 current ones, to close a $49 million gap in the next budget. Some courses with low enrollment will also end. Mizzou cites increased funding in scholarships and graduate student support, staff pay increases and a decline in enrollment as reasons for the budget shortfall. The entire system’s proposed budget heads to the Board of Curators for consideration later this month. https://www.mymoinfo.com/2018/06/08/mizzou-facing-budget-cuts/
