OSU board adopts $1.3 billion budget - BENNETT HALL, Corvallis Gazette-Times
The Oregon State University Board of Trustees on Friday unanimously approved a $1.3 billion budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year, dipping into reserves to support a number of university priorities. “Some trustees expressed concerns regarding declining fund balances,” Vice Chair Kirk Schueler told the board during his presentation on the budget proposal. But he said the university still had adequate budget reserves and that the additional spending represented “strategic investments” that would help build enrollment, bring in additional research funding and bolster revenues.
