Wright State University passes budget, calls for future job cuts - Devero Bogart , WDTH

Wright State University Board of Trustees passed a budget Friday late morning that calls for some cuts, but WSU President Cheryl Schrader said it is more of a realignment of money rather than cuts. Approved by a vote of seven to one, the 2019 fiscal year budget is hoping for a surplus of $3 million after Schrader said the 2018 budget, which ends July 1st, did better than expected. "We expect to post over a $7 million surplus, and that actually exceeds what our budget initially was, which we had originally said $6 million surplus," said Schrader. But this follows years of deficits which they are still dealing with, and at the public meeting, the university said that there will still be funds moved around. http://www.wdtn.com/news/local-news/wright-state-university-passes-budget-calls-for-future-job-cuts/1227168124
