When Dr. Reagan Romali took over last fall as superintendent-president at Long Beach City College, she was faced with a multi-million-dollar deficit in the 2017-2018 budget. That budget was balanced largely through the use of reserves. Then the real work of dealing with the deficit structurally began. LBCC recently announced that more than half of a $10.7 million deficit had been eliminated.
