Plattsburgh State University chipping away at multi-million deficit - McKENZIE DELISLE, Press-Republican

SUNY Plattsburgh faces a $6.3 million structural shortfall for the coming year. The university cites increases in unfunded contractual salaries, scholarship offerings and utility costs putting finances in the red. But the deficit was trimmed $2.1 million over 2017-18, and college leaders are hoping to continue the trend, achieving financial stability by 2021-22. "To date, we have achieved almost $1.5 million in cost reductions for the 2018-19 fiscal year," SUNY Plattsburgh Executive Director of Communications and Public Affairs Ken Knelly said. http://www.pressrepublican.com/news/local_news/psu-chipping-away-at-multi-million-deficit/article_1ae97b18-7cf5-5b41-82f0-2a33682e59a9.html
