University hit with Title IX lawsuit for cutting sports budget - Toni Airaksinen, Campus Reform

Eastern Michigan University is facing a Title IX lawsuit alleging that its decision to cut four sports teams for budgetary reasons was discriminatory against women, even though the cuts disproportionately impacted male students. EMU eliminated two men's teams and two women's teams, affecting 25 women athletes and 58 men, leaving the school with 10 female teams and 7 male teams. https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=11151
