Big changes are coming to the University of Akron. The school is planning to phase out 80 degree programs. "This isn't really a budget cutting exercise. This is an effort to move from weaker programs to stronger programs," said University Interim President John Green. Green said It's a new route of direction for one of the most prestigious universities of Northeast Ohio. "We found some degrees that were not as strong. Either because they have very little enrollment or we weren't graduating many people."
