University of Akron will phase out more than 80 degree programs - WOIO

Big changes are coming to the University of Akron. The school is planning to phase out 80 degree programs. "This isn't really a budget cutting exercise. This is an effort to move from weaker programs to stronger programs," said University Interim President John Green. Green said It's a new route of direction for one of the most prestigious universities of Northeast Ohio. "We found some degrees that were not as strong.
