Gallogly confirms more layoffs after holiday season - Adam Troxtell, The Transcript

OU President James Gallogly speaks to employees during an employee forum Sept. 20 at the University of Oklahoma. He announced that another round of layoffs will come after the holidays. More layoffs are coming at the University of Oklahoma in the new year, following a round that saw a few dozen employees leave last month. While no exact number has been provided, OU President James Gallogly confirmed to the OU Daily on Tuesday that there will be more layoffs after the holiday season. He addressed a rumor that the amount of people laid off would be in the hundreds, saying that amount is inaccurate and he's not sure where that rumor came from. A statement from a university spokesperson sent to The Transcript on Wednesday did not confirm or deny layoffs would come after the first of the year. https://www.normantranscript.com/news/university_of_oklahoma/gallogly-confirms-more-layoffs-after-holiday-season/article_fd9065d1-0a0f-5757-ac02-7731ddaac119.html
