Raritan Valley Community College tuition increasing 5.8 percent - Mike Deak, Bridgewater Courier News

Declining enrollment and the threat of less state aid has prompted a 5.8 percent increase in tuition at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC). The tuition increase, from $153 per credit to $162, comes even as the college has reduced its operating budget by $1 million to $54.5 million. “In recent years, RVCC has had to confront two persistent challenges: declining enrollment and stagnant public funding, " RVCC President Michael McDonough said in a statement. "The new budget reflects the college’s response, which includes adopting a new strategic plan and developing a multilayered operational plan." https://www.mycentraljersey.com/story/news/education/college/2019/03/21/raritan-valley-community-college-tuition-up-5-8-percent/3229637002/
