Sen. Watters calls Sununu’s budget a ‘failure’ on education - Brian Early, Seacoast Online

State Sen. David Watters called Gov. Chris Sununu’s proposed budget a “failure” on Monday, arguing that it does nothing to lessen the student debt burden. The governor’s spokesperson countered that Sununu has made “historic investments in education” and called Watters’ statements “partisan political posturing.” Watters said that most students in the state “now take on tens of thousands of dollars for loans to attend even public colleges and universities. That’s why New Hampshire students has one of the highest levels of student debt in the country.” https://www.fosters.com/news/20190325/sen-watters-calls-sununus-budget-failure-on-education
