Grad students rally against budget cuts at the University of Oregon - Kelsey Christensen, KMTR
Proposed budget cuts at the University of Oregon have students and graduate teaching fellows worried - and angry. The Graduate Teaching Fellows Federation, also known as GTFF, gathered outside of Johnson Hall Thursday to pressure the University to rethink its plan. The GTFF is asking the University for a new contract that does not include any reductions to healthcare for graduate employees. They say they also stand in solidarity with resident undergraduate students after the University approved a near 4% to 10% tuition hike, depending on state funding.
