The University of Oregon announced final details of its $11.6 million in budget cuts last week, including layoffs affecting 20 employees, reducing the hours or reassigning other workers and eliminating more than a dozen open positions. “Twenty individuals received notice that their positions will be eliminated and seven people received notice of reassignment or reduction in hours for a total of 27 affected people,” according to the announcement.
