As Edwin Lopez plays pool in the student union on the Hastings campus, he said he’s there to learn, with dreams of engineering construction projects, and soon, he’ll earn his two-year degree. “I'm first generation in my family to graduate, pretty proud moment, not going to lie,” he said with a smile.
