Citing enrollment declines, UWM Chancellor Mark Mone this week became the latest Wisconsin university leader to send a now-familiar message: The university workforce needs to get smaller. In a campus update Monday, Mone announced a voluntary buyout offer to university employees. UWM will accept applications through May 1. "Even with comprehensive efforts to enroll and retain students, our fall 2019 enrollments declined approximately 4%, resulting in a tuition revenue loss of about $7M," Mone wrote.
