There was nothing pretty Friday about the preview Missouri State provided for the next budget year. The university is projecting a drop in enrollment for the 2020-21 year, which will result in less revenue from tuition and fees, and the rising cost of certain employee benefits. "Due to state and national demographic shifts, our enrollment model projects another enrollment decline next fall," said Carrie Tergin, a member of the MSU Board of Governors. "Our budget must also account for unavoidable costs such as the university's pension contribution, health care costs under the university's medical plan and faculty promotions."
