Effects of the coronavirus outbreak may force Bradley University to cut up to $40 million from its budget in order to stabilize the school’s finances. That could include staffing cuts, suspension of construction and other options, President Gary Roberts said in an email to faculty and staff Monday afternoon in which he acknowledged “everything is up for review and is on the table.” The school had already been grappling with a deficit estimated between $8 million and $9 million in February, but both coronavirus-related costs — including refunds to students for housing costs this year — and enrollment declines in the coming year could balloon that amount significantly, Roberts stated.
