Beverly Rodgers, president of MacMurray College, responded to a request from faculty members who asked if severance packages would be given when the college closes May 25. That is when the majority of the faculty will be out of work. The administration and board of trustees were unable to predict how faculty compensation would be affected by changes to the college to address the financial situation when they were pursuing methods to keep MacMurray afloat, Rodgers said.
